CPW SHOOTING RANGE SMALL GRANT - AWARDED TO GCAA...AGAIN!!
GCAA applied for this grant in 2021 and we were successful in receiving a $4,800 award from the CPW Shooting Range Small Grant Program this spring!! This money is being used to purchase 7 new Rinehart full size targets + wood fiber backstops. New this year we will be matching a portion of the grant funds with with in-kind labor. If anyone would like to help with setup please send us an email grandcountyarchery@gmail.com.

IBO vs ASA vs UNIVERSAL TARGET SCORING
We have decided to standardize the targets at the range and have all the same scoring type inserts. That will be IBO. New inserts and all New targets will be purchased with the IBO score outline. Click here to learn more https://www.bowhunting.com/blog/2017/05/06/asa-vs-ibo-3d-competition/

TARGET BACKSTOPS
We are installing new American Excelsior backstops behind every target in 2023.

DESIGNATED SHOOTING LOCATIONS
Continuing in 2023, we will place shooting location markers at every 3d target. This will standardize all our shoots and make it more clear where to shoot from.

Accepting donations of benches and or picnic tables for our sight in range.

NEW 3D TARGETS + INSERTS
We are going to replace 7 new Rinehart targets and many of the worn out IBO inserts in 2023.

NEW BROADHEAD PIT
Our older damaged 3-D targets are going to be set up in the parking lot as a broadhead pit. This will be the only place on the GCAA range to practice with broadheads. Please DO NOT shoot the bag targets with broad heads.
